May 30, 2008 Dr. Phil Astin, who has been connected with allegedly prescribing heavy amounts of steroids to Chris Benoit, was
indicted on Thursday of 175 federal counts of illegal prescription abuse. This is additional charges apart from his July 2007

Benoit has been cremated, according to his father. His dad, Michael said his son's organs were not harvested
for medical use. He said it's unfortunate, but Chris's organs weren't viable for donation. _______________________________
Chris Benoit was born in Montreal Canada, but grew up in Edmonton. He decided to become a wrestler at the young age of 13.

Canadian pro wrestler Chris Benoit's body contained 10 times the normal level of testosterone, as well as the anti-anxiety
drug Xanax and the painkiller hydrocodone in his system when he killed his wife and young son last month and hanged himself
in the family's home, investigators said Tuesday. He tested negative for any alcohol Benoit's wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone.

The personal doctor of Chris Benoit was charged Monday with improperly dispensing painkillers and other drugs to patients
other than the pro wrestler from Canada.

Family doctor, Astin, prescribed testosterone for Benoit, a longtime friend,
in the past but has not said what, if any, medications he prescribed when Benoit visited his office June 22, the day authorities
believe Benoit killed his wife. Astin was the supplier of various controlled
substances, including injectable anabolic steroids that were found in Benoit's home. he prescribed a 10-month supply of anabolic steroids to Benoit every three to four weeks between May 2006 and May

WWE cancelled its live three hour "Monday Night RAW" card in Corpus Christi, Texas, after the bodies were discovered.

bible beside each of them....No motive or note has been found. Benoit was

appear for the 'Vengeance' 2007 He strangled his wife sometime on

his wife and son were sick. ...the other to a neighbor saying the door to his home was open and the dogs were outside. ___________________________ Investigators
found anabolic steroids in the house and want to know whether Chris was unhinged by the bodybuilding drugs, which can cause
paranoia, depression and explosive outbursts known as "roid rage." ____________________________

In 2003 Nancy Benoit filed
for a divorce, saying the couple's three-year marriage was irrevocably broken and alleging....cruel treatment... She later
dropped the complaint, as well as a request for a restraining order. _______________________
Benoit made over $500,000 a year as a professional wrestler. ___________ The physical
findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage, the company said, adding Benoit tested negative April 10,
the last time he was tested for drugs. ______________________ He lost the one tooth while roughhousing with his pet Rottweiler. and never bothered to get it fixed according to WWE ________________________
Two days before he and his family were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide,
pro wrestler Chris Benoit told co-workers his wife and son had food poisoning and were throwing up, according to World Wrestling

Daniel suffered from a rare medical condition called Fragile X Syndrome, an inherited form of
mental retardation often accompanied by autism. _________________________________ Benoit's personal
physician,Dr. Phil Astin. said the wrestler did not give any indication he was troubled when he met with the doctor hours
before the start of the weekend. Chris went to Astin for treatment of low testosterone levels. Astin said
the condition likely originated from previous steroid use. Astin said. "He certainly didn't show any signs
of any distress or rage or anything." __________________________ Benoit received deliveries from Signature
Pharmacy and MedXLife.com, which sold steroids, human growth hormone and testosterone on the Internet. Six people,
including two of the pharmacy’s owners, have pleaded guilty in the investigation, and 20 more have been arrested,
including doctors and pharmacists. _____________________ In addition to causing paranoia and explosive
outbursts, steroids can also contribute to deep depression, according to experts. _______________________
