Austin is now appearing in a movie role THE LONGEST YARD out this weekend.
He has also just signed a 3 year contract with WWE
Steve Austin is set to return to WWE on a part-time basis after WrestleMania 21. He'll work on his movie projects and will
make sporadic appearances on RAW in the months following Mania.
In a movie role in Condemned, Austin will play a death-row inmate who is offered a pardon if he agrees to compete on a
life or-death reality show.

Even if Austin can never come back to wrestle a heavy schedule, his personality is such that he will be able to be a major
player in terms of selling pay per views and merchandise. Austin is a huge cash cow for the WWE company.

WWE and Steve Austin part ways
After months of negotiations, the WWE and Steve Austin have been unable to come to terms on a new contract and as a result

8/3/97: In one of WWE's scariest moments, Stone Cold Steve Austin breaks his neck when Owen Hart connects with an unconventional
piledriver. Somehow, Austin manages to pull out the SummerSlam victory to claim the Intercontinental Championship.
Steve Austin earned over $6 million in 1999.

Although various reports indicate WWE management was not too pleased with the Austin/domestic-abuse issue, the WWE lockerroom
generally disagrees with that sentiment.
One worker was quoted, "It's a lame-ass situation he was unjustly dragged into." The general belief amongst

On LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY: January 14th 2004....Regis reminded Steve Austin how the last time he was on their show he
broke his nose in a wrestling move. Regis did not want to have a demonstration on a choke hold again this time. Regis had
no hard feelings about it now...Kelly tackled Austin from behind onto a mat...Austin did the show to promote his book and
Wrestlemania XX 2004..which he will be part of at some level.

some beer and left the ring...then the camera focused on two empty bent cans of beer on the ring mat in a pool of blood.
