Jim Ross returned for an appearance on RAW March 14, 2011 to defend Jerry Lawler when
Jerry's son, Brian, showed up and accused him of being a terrible father.
Michael Cole Jerry and Jim and Swagger went at it in the ring
later. Fans were happy to see Jim Ross again.
August 24, 2010 UPDATE
ON JR Jim Ross noted on Twitter that he will be attending
every Oklahoma Sooners college
football game this year - both home
and away. This is something he hasn't been able to do with the
intense WWE travel schedule. JR is a huge OU fan and personal
friend of head coach Bob Stoops.
He can often be seen on the
sideline during OU games. As for JR's position in WWE,
he also
confirmed on Twitter he'll be at next month's Night of Champions
pay-per-view
from the Allstate arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Under
his new position, he attends most all
WWE PPVs and helps out
backstage.

Live on RAW , it was announced that Ross was to be
inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2007, alongside his colleague Jerry "the king" Lawler.
The fans in Chicago gave the announcement a standing ovation and loud cheers... lasting well over a minute.

Joey Styles was one of the replacements on weekly RAW . Ross was brought back for Saturday Night's Main Event , then the
