April 7, 2008 WWE's Director of Publicity Kevin
Hennesy told FOX 5 "wrestlers can only be prescribed steroids by a physician which is rare and only for a specific medical
condition and it is usually taken orally." Hennesy added "If a wrestler is injecting steroids for performance enhancement
purposes that would be a matter for local law enforcement." _______________________________
December 15, 2007
Jake "The Snake" Roberts has entered a rehab program.

September 2007 The main changes made to the wellness program and announced
to the talent are: New talent signed by WWE will need to be drug tested before being signed. Marijuana
testing will now be in effect by WWE. If tested positive, talent will be fined one thousand dollars each time failed. Also,
if tested positive for marijuana, talent will not be suspended and will not be included in their "three strikes"rule.
The drug ...anti-estrogen...will be added to the banned items talent will be tested for. From
November 1st, talent who violate the Wellness Program will be made public by WWE. _____________________
Those suspended by the WWE earlier in the week, were those on the Signature Pharmacy client list. These suspensions had nothing
to do with any drug testing the WWE had performed.

August 30, 2007 Authorities allege that Signature Pharmacy illegally
distributed steroids and other prescription drugs to clients who had not by examined by doctors. In an article
on ESPN.com, Shaun Assael reported that the following current WWE wrestlers were named as clients of Signature: Shoichi Funaki Dave Bautista Adam "Edge" Copeland (currently on injury leave) Chris "Masters"
Mordetsky John "John Morrison" Hennigan Shane Helms Other current WWE wrestlers on the
client list, as reported by the New York Daily News on its website are: Randy Orton Charles Haas, Jr. Robert
"Booker T" Huffman Mike Bucci, aka Simon Dean Anthony Carelli Darren "William Regal"
Matthews Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson Chavo Guerrero Jr. Also named in the ESPN article
as Signature clients were Eddie Guerrero, Brian Adams (a.k.a. Crush) and Chris Benoit. __________________________
The prescriptions included a variety of drugs such as anastrozole, somatropin, nandrolone,
stanozolol and others in a time period that ran as early as November 2003 and as recently as February 2007. The types of drugs
and dates of the prescriptions varied by wrestler. ____________
WWE Drug Policy Update
January 17, 2006 WWE has
been working diligently to complete its new wellness program for talent, which includes an aggressive drug and steroid testing
program and heightened cardiovascular monitoring. The company believes it has identified a third-party that will be able
to implement the program, which will be done independently of WWE, and is going through final phases of its due diligence.
WWE believes the program will be ready to implement before the end of the first quarter of 2006.
WWE faced a major steroid scandal in the 1990's They have claimed to test for steroids, but, it is obvious to the any viewer that many of the
wrestlers are taking something to get their physiques to look so perfect. In today's
environment, a wrestler must carry either a very large amount of muscle or a tremendous amount of fat to give him the larger
than life size needed to be successful in the business and to avoid too much injuries. That extra weight, whether muscle or
fat, makes the heart work harder than normal ____________________
